The Electrical Student Association (HME) of Diponegoro University through the Community Social Division successfully held a blood donation activity entitled Giving For Living on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 13.00-15.30 WIB in the HME Room, UNDIP Electrical Engineering. This activity was organized as a form of collaboration between HME UNDIP, the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Semarang City, and KSR UNDIP.

The chief executive, Tiko Wibisono, said that Giving For Living aims to foster awareness and concern of students and the community about the importance of blood donation. “This program is also a forum for Electrical Engineering students, the academic community, and the community to contribute to real humanitarian action,” he said.

This activity was attended by 50 registrants consisting of students and academic community of Diponegoro University. However, of these, only 43 people were declared eligible to donate blood.

Participants who want to donate blood are required to fulfill the health requirements as stated on the activity poster. After taking and filling out the registration form, participants underwent blood pressure and hemoglobin (Hb) checks. Only participants who passed these stages were allowed to donate blood.

A total of 43 blood bags were collected in this activity. Tiko expressed his gratitude for the smooth running of the event. “This is all the result of the hard work of all parties involved. I hope this activity can continue to be held in the coming years because blood donation provides many benefits, both for the donor and the recipient,” he concluded.
