Semarang, 29 May 2024 – Dr. Widodo, M. Kom., a lecturer at the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering Education from the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta, was a speaker at a Public Lecture organized by Diponegoro University (Undip) Electrical Engineering. The event was moderated by Ir. Yosua Alvin Adi Soetrisno, S.T., M.Eng., IPM, and attended by participants from Undip Electrical Engineering lecturers and students.
In this online public lecture, Dr. Widodo presented a topic entitled “Application of Machine Learning in Natural Language Processing (NLP)”. This topic discusses various machine learning techniques and applications used to process and understand natural language, an increasingly important field in today’s digital era.
Dr. Widodo explained how machine learning can be used to improve the performance of NLP systems, including in tasks such as text processing, sentiment analysis, and automatic translation. He also explained about the latest algorithms and models used in NLP as well as the challenges and opportunities in their implementation. This public lecture provided new insights for the participants regarding the application of machine learning technology in NLP, hopefully encouraging further research and innovation in this field.
