The final project exhibition of Diponegoro University’s Electrical Engineering students was successfully held on August 5, 2024, showcasing various innovative and creative projects undertaken by students over the past few months. The event received special attention with the presence of a distinguished professor from overseas.
The event was made even more special by the presence of Prof. Tek Tjing Lie from Auckland University of Technology. Prof. Tek Tjing Lie, who is currently the Interim Principal of the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences at Auckland University of Technology (AUT), highly appreciated the works displayed by the students. He is an academic with a strong educational background, receiving his BS degree from Oklahoma State University as well as MS and PhD degrees from Michigan State University. Previously, Prof. Tek Tjing Lie held academic positions at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University.
His research interests cover a wide range of areas, including Power System Operation and Control, Regulated Power Markets, AI Applications in Power Systems, Renewable Energy, and Smart Grid. His presence provided additional motivation for the students to continue to innovate and explore more in their research areas.
