The Department of Electrical Engineering (DTE) Diponegoro University has conducted a strategic collaboration with PT Sertikomlis, a company in the field of labor certification and competency testing, to improve the quality and competency standards of engineering personnel in Indonesia. The realization of the collaboration is to conduct a Competency Test for Engineering Personnel in the Field of Generation on August 8-9, 2024. The competency test was conducted by DTE lecturers who have been certified as experts in the field of generation. This test activity was chaired by an Associate Expert in the Field of Generation Dr. Ir. Jaka Windarta, M.T., IPU, Asean.Eng, whose members were other experts namely Ir. Mochammad Facta, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., and Ir. Aghus Sofwan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU. The level of engineering competence tested for Level 3 and Level 5, with the unit of competence tested is the Main Executor and Associate Analyst for PLTU, PLTD, and PLTS.
Another collaboration that has also been carried out is the Certification of Engineering Competence for Electrical Engineering Final Semester students. Certification for students provides added value for Electrical Engineering graduates in working in the world of work later. Furthermore, this collaboration will not only improve the quality of education in the field of Electrical Engineering, but can also contribute to improving the competitiveness of the Indonesian workforce in the global market.
