The Diponegoro University Electrical Engineering student team once again showed its achievements in the prestigious “Nusantara Writing Festival 2024” held on October 19 at Malang Creative Center. In the festival which was attended by teams from various universities in Indonesia, the UNDIP team consisting of Nicholas David Marsen (team leader), Muhammad Sultan Rasya Wibisonoputra, Muhammad Tegar Ramadhani, Muhammad Faizul Kirom, and Fikri Maulana won the 3rd General Champion, Gold Medal in Technology Category, Bronze Medal in Food Sustainability, and Bronze Medal in Environmental Science.

In this competition, they presented scientific papers that included three projects: an automatic coffee sorter based on color sensors for efficiency in coffee sorting, a tree decay detection tool that allows monitoring of tree conditions for environmental risk prevention, and IoT-based air bag modernization to improve vehicle safety with internet-connected technology.

Mentored by Electrical Engineering lecturer, Ajub Ajulian Zahra Machrina, S.T., M.T., the UNDIP Electrical Engineering team hopes that their work can contribute to the development of technology that benefits society and the environment. This success not only makes Diponegoro University proud, but also inspires other students to continue to innovate and compete in various national and international events.
