The Department of Electrical Engineering Diponegoro University (UNDIP) again held a public lecture which presented speakers who were experienced and experts in their fields. The public lecture which was held on November 21, 2024 in a hybrid manner at Building B 206, Department of Electrical Engineering UNDIP had the theme “Electric Vehicle Eco-System and Charging Station Technology”. This public lecture was delivered by Dr. Ir. Cahyadi, M.Kom. as Plt. Head of the Research Center for Energy Conversion and Conservation of the National Research and Innovation Agency (PRKKE BRIN).
This activity was attended by lecturers of the UNDIP Electrical Engineering Department, UNDIP Electrical Engineering Deoartment students, and participants from other universities. This lecture was opened by remarks from Mr. Ir. Mochammad Facta, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. as the lecturer of the Power Electronics course and continued with remarks from Mr. Ir. Aghus Sofwan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU as the Head of the UNDIP Electrical Engineering Department, and guided by Mrs. Laily Asna Safira, S.T., M.T. as the moderator.
In this public lecture, Dr. Ir. Cahyadi, M.Kom. discussed the use of renewable energy from upstream to downstream including the existence of ecosystems of various energy sectors in Indonesia, the condition of renewable energy and its utilization, the research phase of technology development using renewable energy, the ecosystem of electric vehicles in Indonesia, and opportunities and obstacles to research on the development of electric vehicles in Indonesia. With the experience that Dr. Ir. Cahyadi, M.Kom has, he shares a lot of knowledge based on direct experience in the field which certainly provides a valuable perspective and experience for public lecture participants.
This public lecture activity received high enthusiasm from the participants. With the potential development and use of electric vehicles in Indonesia, many questions were raised by participants related to the development and potential use of electric vehicles being researched by BRIN. Hopefully, this activity can open up opportunities for research collaboration and strengthen the relationship between the Department of Electrical Engineering UNDIP and BRIN.
