The Faculty of Engineering at Diponegoro University (Undip) held its first Open House on Saturday, May 24, 2025. The event was held at the Prof. Ir. Eko Budihardjo, M.Sc. Building on the Undip Tembalang Campus and served as an opportunity to introduce the world of engineering to the public, particularly prospective students.

The Open House consisted of four main events: a talk show, faculty information session, expo, and campus tour. The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Undip, Prof. Dr. Jamari, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN Eng., stated that the event aims to provide as much information as possible about the Faculty of Engineering to the general public. “This Open House has many objectives. The main objective is to provide as much information as possible to the public. Especially to the younger students. But ultimately, it benefits everyone,” he said.

The event received high enthusiasm from visitors from various backgrounds, including high school/vocational school students, accompanying teachers, parents, and the general public interested in the field of engineering and higher education. Their presence added to the lively atmosphere and demonstrated the significant interest in the Faculty of Engineering at Undip. During the Expo, each department showcased their outstanding works and innovations. The Electrical Engineering Department also participated by displaying various research results and technological projects, including a robotic arm, a humanoid robot, a game detector, a smart PV feeder, a 15 kV transformer, a silicone rubber composite insulator, and a megger measuring device.

Through this event, the Electrical Engineering Department at Undip hopes to increase students’ interest and motivation to join as new students, while also introducing the potential and contributions of electrical engineering in addressing future challenges.
