The much-anticipated competition for Indonesian flying robot lovers, the Indonesian Flying Robot Contest (KRTI), is finally back, taking place from September 22 to 27, 2023. The competition is organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) and the host of KRTI 2023 is the Sumatra Institute of Technology (ITERA). The location of this competition is at the Pangeran M. Bun Yamin Airbase, which is located in Lampung.
Diponegoro University’s Jentayu team managed to win one category of competition at KRTI 2023, namely “Best Pilot.” This achievement is even more remarkable when considering the unfavorable weather conditions at Pangeran M. Bun Yamin Airstrip at the time and the Jentayu Team pilots were still able to land the aircraft properly. Thanks to the innovation and passion of the Jentayu Team, as well as the guidance of Ir. Hadha Afrisal, S.T., M.Sc., IPP (Department of Electrical Engineering) and Dr.Eng. Munadi, S.T., MT (Department of Mechanical Engineering), Jentayu Team was able to achieve this proud achievement. Several Electrical Engineering students also participated in achieving these achievements, including:

Bihan Harsetya Adinata, a member of the Jentayu Team, expressed his hopes for the future of Jentayu, stating, “Of course for the future, Jentayu can be even better because we still have great potential for the future. With this year’s KRTI, we know how competitive this competition is, which then really encourages us to keep going in order to win the championship in the coming years.” KRTI 2023 is clear evidence that the spirit of competition in the field of Indonesian flying robots is growing, and Jentayu’s achievements provide inspiration for young people who want to participate in the world of robotics and technology. All KRTI participants hope that the coming years will bring more innovations and brilliant achievements in the field of flying robots.
