The Department of Electrical Engineering of Diponegoro University (Undip) held an Undip-IOH-HUAWEI Studium Generale event on October 29, 2024. The event, which was attended by 175 participants, presented two main sessions with the latest material about the development of 6G technology and career opportunities in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry, and the use of artificial intelligence in the industrial world.
The event began with remarks from the Head of Undip’s Electrical Engineering Department, Ir. Aghus Sofwan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU, who expressed his appreciation for the collaboration with two major technology companies. He hopes that this event can provide new insights for students regarding the rapid development of technology. Undip’s Vice Rector III, Prof. Dr. Adian Fatchur Rochim, S.T., M.T., also gave a speech encouraging students to keep abreast of global technological developments to prepare themselves to become leaders in the future.
The first session was moderated by Sukiswo, S.T., M.T., with speakers from HUAWEI, namely Markus, General Manager Surabaya (Enterprise Business), and Angga Kurniawan, Technical Management Officer (Delivery & Services Java East Region). They presented the material entitled *Preparing Generation on 6G Technology and Career in ICT Industry*, which explained the development of 6G technology and career opportunities that will open up in the ICT sector along with the development of this technology. The session ended with an interactive Q&A, where participants had the opportunity to ask the speakers directly about the challenges and innovations in the 6G era.
In the second session, Enda Wista Sinuraya, S.T., M.T., acted as moderator. Yosan Septrio Atma, AVP (AI Product Specialist) from IOH, was the speaker with a presentation entitled Unlocking The Power of Generator AI. In his presentation, Yosan explained how artificial intelligence, especially AI generators, can be utilized to support various needs in the industrial world. The participants were given new insights into AI trends and applications, as well as the potential for innovation that can be developed in the future.
