Semarang, June 5, 2024 – The inaugural episode of the Electrical Podcast hosted by Dharmawan Bincha Yomi presents Ir. Dhimas Mahardika, S.T., M.M., IPM., ASEAN Eng., a professional in electrical engineering and corporate management at PT Rekayasa Engineering. Dhimas Mahardika, S.T., M.M., IPM, ASEAN Eng., a 2007 graduate of Electrical Engineering, shared his experiences and views on the world of work for Electrical Engineering graduates.

In the conversation, Ir. Dhimas Mahardika, S.T., M.M., IPM, ASEAN Eng. shared his academic journey that was full of various organizational activities. “During college, I was active in the student association organization, but also did not miss the opportunity to participate in university-level organizations,” he said. In addition, he was also involved in academic activities as a teaching assistant in several practicums and helped a number of lecturer projects. “My final project was also taken from a lecturer’s project that I helped with,” he added.

Dhimas Mahardika, S.T., M.M., IPM, ASEAN Eng. emphasized the importance of preparing well to face the challenges of the working world. “Students who will and have graduated must equip themselves in terms of hard skills and soft skills,” said Dhimas. He shared that to improve his hard skills, apart from learning from the campus, he also joined various related communities. “You have to be able to combine hard skills and soft skills,” Dhimas emphasized. In his career, Ir. Dhimas Mahardika, S.T., M.M., IPM, ASEAN Eng. continues to improve his communication skills while pursuing his career. He believes that communication skills are one of the important aspects that a professional must have.

Ir. Dhimas Mahardika, S.T., M.M., IPM, ASEAN Eng. also said that the Electrical Engineering Alumni Association (IATE) provides a great opportunity to seek experience in order to work in a better place. “IATE bridges Electrical Engineering students who will graduate by providing knowledge about what is needed to enter the world of work,” he explained.
