Lustrum 8: Visiting Lecture Presents Artificial Intelligence (AI) Biomedical Engineering Experts

On March 28 2023, an online Visiting Lecture was held by presenting expert speakers in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Biomedical Engineering Sebelas Maret University Sutrisno, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. The theme of this Visiting Lecture is “Getting to Know the Biomedical Engineering Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology Closer. This event was attended by 85 participants, consisting of students and lecturers of Electrical Engineering at Diponegoro University, as well as many other participants from different agencies.

The event began with remarks by the Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, Aghus Sofwan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. He said that the Visiting Lecture this time was part of a series of events for the 8th Lustrum of the Department of Electrical Engineering. In his remarks he also expressed his hope, namely that the participants who were present would be able to absorb the knowledge that would later be conveyed by the speakers who would then be able to utilize this knowledge and share the results with the general public.

Then, the event continued with the presentation of the material by the resource person moderated by Ir. Yosua Alvin Adi Soetrisno, S.T., M.Eng. In his presentation, the resource person explained what Artificial Intelligence (AI) is. Sutrisno, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. delivered the material interactively to the participants by opening a discussion regarding the question of the rapid development of AI, whether this provides useful or even harmful things. He also explained the role of AI in the world of health. After the presentation of the material from the speakers, the event continued with a question and answer session and then closed with documentation and handing over of certificates to the speakers.
