The Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University (UNDIP) received a study visit from the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Surabaya (UNESA) on Friday, July 18, 2025. The event, which began at 2:00 PM local time, was attended by a 15-member curriculum development team from the Electrical Engineering Program, Faculty of Engineering, UNESA, including faculty members and program coordinators. The delegation was led by Dr. Ir. Lusia Rakhmawati, S.T., M.T., as the Coordinator of the Electrical Engineering Program at UNESA.
The purpose of the visit was to conduct benchmarking regarding the implementation of the Capstone Design Program in the Electrical Engineering Program at UNDIP. Through joint discussions, UNESA hopes to gain direct insights into the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Capstone Design Program already in place at UNDIP, as a reference for enhancing learning outcomes in their own program. The activity began with a welcome session, followed by a presentation on the implementation of the Capstone Design Program at UNDIP, and interactive discussions on the challenges and strategies for the program’s success. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to tour the learning support facilities at UNDIP’s Electrical Engineering Department.
Through this benchmarking activity, UNDIP and UNESA are committed to continuing to strengthen collaboration in the field of education, particularly in the development of project-based learning methods such as the Capstone Design program.
