Guntur Awaludin Saptadi, an Electrical Engineering student at Diponegoro University, once again made his alma mater proud at an international event. In the 11th International Conference on Computer, Control, Informatics, and its Applications (IC3INA) 2024 organized by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) on October 9-10 at BRIN’s Samaun Samadikun Science and Technology Area (KST), Bandung, Guntur won the Best Presenter Award. This award was obtained from a competition that was attended by 176 participants from various countries, ranging from undergraduate to doctoral level researchers.
Guntur had done a lot of preparation before the competition, from design and drafting to validating research data. In addition, he strengthened his scientific communication techniques to be able to deliver clear and interesting presentations in front of international researchers. His research was mentored by Electrical Engineering lecturers, Enda Wista Sinuraya, S.T., M.T., and Ir. Bambang Winardi, M.Kom.
In this conference, Guntur presented his paper entitled “Design of Smart Microgrid as an Integration of Electrical Systems with Android Application.” This research raised innovative solutions in microgrid-based electrical energy management that can be accessed through Android applications. With this concept, Guntur’s research is expected to be an important contribution to the development of efficient and environmentally friendly energy management.
Guntur said that his achievement was not only for himself, but also for the Faculty of Engineering, especially the Department of Electrical Engineering at Diponegoro University. “I hope this achievement can be an inspiration for UNDIP students, especially other Electrical Engineering students, to continue to innovate and dare to compete in the international arena,” he said.
He added, this achievement shows that the innovation of Indonesia’s young generation is able to compete at the global level. “I am optimistic that Indonesia’s young generation can continue to create competitive innovations at the world level,” he concluded.
