VISIT OF 190 STUDENTS FROM SMAN 1 TAMBUN UTARA TO ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DIPONEGORO UNIVERSITY

On Wednesday, March 4, 2024, Diponegoro University Electrical Engineering received a special visit from 190 students of SMAN 1 Tambun Utara, Bekasi Regency. The event took place at the Engineering Hall, Prof. Ir. Eko Budihardjo, M.Sc Building 5th Floor, with high enthusiasm from both parties.

Head of SMAN 1 Tambun Utara, Yusuf, S.Pd.Fis, revealed that the main reason behind this visit was because many of their alumni continue their studies at Diponegoro University. “Our purpose of coming to this campus is none other than the demands of our children. They want to take a closer look at Diponegoro University, because some of their seniors study here,” he said enthusiastically. A warm welcome also came from the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering Undip, Ir. Aghus Sofwan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU, who welcomed the students of SMAN 1 Tambun Utara to the Faculty of Engineering Undip well. He hoped that this visit could help students in determining the study program that suits their interests. In this visit, Ir. M. Arfan, S.Kom, M.Eng, a lecturer of Electrical Engineering Undip, had the opportunity to provide material in front of the students. In his presentation, he explained in detail about Diponegoro University and the various paths that students can take to become Undip students.

Yusuf from SMAN 1 Tambun Utara hoped that after this visit, the students could choose to continue their studies at Diponegoro University. “Hopefully, from many of our children, tomorrow they will become students here,” he concluded. This visit not only provided new insights for the students of SMAN 1 Tambun Utara about the potential of studying at Diponegoro University, but also strengthened the relationship between the two educational institutions that aim to create a superior and competitive next generation.
