The Department of Electrical Engineering at Diponegoro University continues its Visiting Professor Batch 3 – Chapter Series 1 program, this time presenting an interesting topic on the application of artificial intelligence in the field of health. This event was held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Room B202, UNDIP Electrical Engineering Building, and was also broadcast online via Zoom Meeting.

The event featured Dr. Vega Pradana Rachim from the Higher Education Research Center, New York University Abu Dhabi as the keynote speaker with the topic “AI-Driven Non-Invasive Health Monitoring: Merging Sensors, Signals, and Intelligence.” In his presentation, Dr. Vega explained how artificial intelligence (AI) can be utilized to monitor human health conditions non-invasively, i.e., without requiring direct medical procedures such as blood sampling or minor surgery. This technology utilizes the integration of smart sensors, signal processing, and AI algorithms to detect and analyze health data in real-time.

The session was moderated by Ir. Yosua Alfin Adi Soetrisno, S.T., M.Eng., IPM. from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Diponegoro University. Through interactive discussions, participants gained new insights into the development of sensor and AI technologies that have great potential in the medical field, especially for continuous and efficient patient monitoring.

The Visiting Professor Batch 3 program is a continuation of the success of Batch 1 and 2, with a Chapter Series format that allows for more in-depth discussion of topics at each meeting. This activity also serves as a platform for students and lecturers to broaden their international horizons and establish research collaborations with various renowned universities around the world.
