A total of 18 students from the Department of Electrical Engineering Diponegoro University officially graduated in the 178th Graduation Period Phase 2 held at Muladi Dome. This activity took place solemnly and joyfully attended by families, lecturers, and fellow students.

Among the 18 students, Cindy Amelia Putri stole the spotlight because she won the cum laude title and the best with a GPA of 3.63. In addition to Cindy, five other students also received cum laude predicates, namely Nofi Kartikasari, Satyagraha Pakarti Gemilang, Trevin Reviansyah Dermawan, Muhammad Tegar Brilliantino, and Faturrrahman Hidayat.

After the graduation ceremony, the celebration continued with a festive procession by the Electrical Engineering students. The event was completed with remarks from various parties and closed with a prayer together as a form of gratitude and hope for a better future.

The Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Ir. Aghus Sofwan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU, in his speech delivered an important message to the graduates, “Today is not the end of the journey. This is the beginning of the journey for all of you, with the provision of soft skills and hard skills that have been obtained during college. Be a person who is beneficial to society.” Meanwhile, Enda Wista Sinuraya, S.T., M.T. from the Student Counseling Board (BKM), expressed his congratulations and reaffirmed the sense of kinship in the Electrical Engineering environment, that Electro is home so that alumni do not need to hesitate to come back.

One of the graduates, Muhammad Fachri Azfar, expressed his gratitude to the lecturers and shared a little story of his struggle during his education. He also gave a message to his younger siblings, “Hopefully you will graduate quickly and study smoothly. Don’t give up even though the process is hard.” Not only students, parents also spoke out. Ferry Carli, one of the graduates’ parents, expressed his emotion and pride, “We are very happy and proud. May our children always study and pray in the future, so that success accompanies them forever.”

Graduation is an important moment because it is the beginning of a new journey after completing education in college. Graduates are expected to bring the knowledge, experience and values they have gained to face the challenges of life and make a real contribution to society.
