On Tuesday, March 7 2023, an expo or final project exhibition of Electrical Engineering students was held. The exhibition was held in Building A of Electrical Engineering, Diponegoro University. There were two research results exhibited at the event, namely the automation of screen printing t-shirts and a hand robot control system.
The design of a screen printing machine automation system is carried out with the aim of creating innovation from the conventional screen printing process to become automatic so as to increase the competitiveness of home industry businesses in the production of screen printing t-shirts. The features possessed by the machine, namely:
- Has 4 working mechanisms, namely conveyor, clamp, screen printing, and drying.
- HMI with touch screen system.
- Setting the speed of the printing process.
- Pressure control.
- Choice of operating modes, namely manual mode, auto, and off.
- Product total records.
- Machine repair alarm system.
Research on screen printing automation was carried out by the following Electrical Engineering students, along with the title of their paper.
- Bagus Catur Wibowo with the title “Design of DC Motor Speed Control in T-shirt Printing Automation with the Pulse Width Modulation Method”
- Muhammad Asnnur Aji Wicaksono with the title “Design of a Pneumatic System Controller Based on PID for Quality Pressure in Screen Printing Machine Automation Systems”
- Sitti Nuriyah Wachidah with the title “Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Based Automation System Design with Human Machine Interface (HMI) on Screen Printing Machines”
Designing a wearable controller that can control the hand robot and is able to provide feedback in the form of a touch sensation and improve grip control on the hand robot is the goal of this research. The features contained in this tool are:
- Controlling the movement of the robot’s finger based on the curvature of the finger and the direction of the robot’s arm movement based on the user’s haptic glove.
- Provides a sense of touch and resistance to movement of the haptic glove user’s fingers when the robot hand grips an object.
- Controlling the strength of the robot’s grip so that it can grip properly so it doesn’t damage objects.
Research on hand robot control systems conducted by Electrical Engineering students follows.
- Dinda Fadhya Darmidjas with the title “Design of Hand Robot Control System”
- Diniary Oksuza with the title “Haptic Sensing Design on Hand Robot Control Systems”
- Muhammad Alamulhuda with the title “Design of Grasping Control on Hand Robots Using Reinforcement Learning”
