Electrical Expo was held by the Electrical Engineering Department of Diponegoro University (Undip) on September 30, 2023. To commemorate the 8th Lustrum or 40th Anniversary of Undip Electrical Engineering, the Electrical Student Association held an event with the theme “Improve Your Knowledge, Find the Unexpected Things” at the basketball court of the Electrical Engineering Department. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the Electrical Engineering Academic Community, the Undip Electrical Engineering Alumni Association, and various industries related to Undip Electrical Engineering.
One of the objectives of this activity is to provide students with opportunities to improve work competencies by providing opportunities to learn and explore various industries. Through this event students can get an understanding of how the industry works through workshops offered by various industries such as telecommunications, internet, and engineering simulators.
In addition, there was a technical world expo hosted by Electrical Workshop, which is the current technical bureau in Undip Electrical Engineering. The exhibition displays the research results of Undip Electrical Engineering students, as well as products from concentration bureaus in the Undip Electrical Engineering Department. In addition, there are opportunities to conduct MBKM with the industries involved in this activity. PT Yamakubi Engineering Services, which is engaged in engineering simulators, warmly welcomes this opportunity. In workshops held by well-known companies such as PLN (Persero), PT Tritama Karya Persada, PT Yamakubi, and PT Ultra Mandiri Telekomunikasi, the visitors, especially students, were very enthusiastic to ask about the technology offered and how to prepare themselves to work in the industry.
In addition, GUWE or Grow Up With Electrical was also held where this event introduced the bureaus in electro with the booth of each bureau. There are 2 types of bureaus in Electrical Engineering Diponegoro University, namely the concentration bureau consisting of BPPTL, BKTI, ECS, SEED, and TKO and there is a specialization bureau consisting of Al-Muhandis, ELCO, and PHILAR.
