Visiting Professor in the framework of the 8th Electrical Engineering Lustrum was held on May 27 2023. A total of 90 participants attended the event including the Head of the Electrical Engineering Department Aghus Sofwan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., in addition to Electrical Engineering Lecturer Enda Wista Sinuraya, S.T., M.T. also present as a moderator. Speakers at the seminar with the subject “Metamaterials: Multifunctional Materials and Future Technology” were Prof.Dr. Saktioto, S.Si, M.Phi.
Prof. Dr. Saktioto, S.Si, M.Phi explained about the application of metamaterials where metamaterials have been used in various fields, namely security, national defense, health, communications, and aviation. The metamaterial itself is a periodic material that derives its properties from the structure of its components. He also conveyed about history and the many theories he brought to this seminar. He also shared his experience in conducting experiments related to metamaterials. Furthermore, the seminar continued with a question and answer session and ended with a documentation session.
