The delegation team from Electrical Engineering Diponegoro University (Undip) succeeded in making brilliant achievements in the National Essay Competition InspireX Summit Fest 2025 organized by Eduhub Incubator at the Indonesian University of Education (UPI), Bandung, on February 15-16, 2025. This competition is a prestigious event for young innovators and researchers in the field of essays and business cases that focus on the development of science and technology.

In this event, the Undip delegation team conducted in-depth research and intensive discussions with the supervisors, namely Dr. Ir. Abdul Syakur, S.T., M.T., IPU; Dr. Susatyo Handoko, S.T., M.T.; and Achmad Hidayatno, S.T., M.T.. They also underwent intensive training in organizing and delivering presentations effectively in a very short time. The team succeeded in overcoming major challenges related to the limited presentation time, which was only five minutes with a five-minute question and answer session, with a solid communication strategy and delivery of data-based arguments.

The main essay that led the Undip team to win the award was entitled “3-Phase Feeder Voltage and Current Real-Time Monitoring System for Drop Voltage and Power Losses Analysis in Electricity Distribution Networks Based on the Internet of Things”. This essay focuses on the energy and environmental fields by presenting an IoT-based real-time monitoring system to accurately identify drop voltage and power losses. This work has the potential to provide a quick response and operational efficiency for PLN and customers. With its excellence, the Undip team won the Gold Medal in the energy and environment category and became the Runner-Up Winner in all essay fields.

In addition, the Undip Electrical Engineering delegation team also brought home another award with a work entitled “Electronic Air Filter Based on Green Shell Waste and Coconut Coir Integrated with the Internet of Things”. The project is designed to address pollution and waste in coastal areas, such as Tambak Lorok. With its innovative concept, this project won the Silver Medal in the field of energy and environment and received the Best Idea award in the same field.

This is proof that hard work, perseverance, and an unyielding spirit always pay off,” he said.

The delegation team also shared their success strategies, one of which was to conduct presentation simulations with a collaborative and relaxed approach, considering that the judges and other participants were classmates in order to remain calm in the competition. They also focused on technical and visual details in the delivery of the material and prepared answers with strong arguments.

This success is expected to motivate other Undip students, especially Electrical Engineering, to continue to innovate and contribute to the development of technology in the future. “We hope that our team’s achievement does not stop here. Hopefully this achievement will inspire other Undip students to continue working and competing in other prestigious events,” concluded the team leader.

Congratulations to the entire Undip Electrical Engineering delegation team for their outstanding achievements!
