Unlimited x Alumni Day 2024, organized by the Electrical Engineering Student Association (HME) of Diponegoro University on October 19, 2024, took place at the Department of Electrical Engineering. The event combined Company Expo and Capstone Design, giving students the opportunity to meet with alumni as well as several leading companies in the field of electrical engineering. The aim of the event was to broaden students’ career horizons and showcase the latest innovations from industry as well as inspiring student final project work.

At the Company Expo, students had the opportunity to get to know health technology from Sentra Medika Indonesia, which exhibited health equipment such as Hematology Analyser and Urine Analyser. These tools are used in laboratories for blood and urine analysis, supporting early detection of various diseases. In addition, Yamakubi presented a transport ship simulator designed for army ship navigation training, helping users understand how the electrical system runs on a ship.

Capstone Design displays the work of Electrical Engineering students in the form of innovative final projects. One of the projects was “Website-based Rotary Drum Dryer Design for Black Pepper Production” by Mohammad Fa’iz, Didin Tri Handoko, and Naufal Yafi Susanto. They designed a website-based dryer system to monitor black pepper production, enabling remote control and improving production efficiency. Another project is “Predictive Monitoring and Maintenance System on Electric Cable Network” by Ratu Sondang Elishabet Sidauruk and Raudatul Hamidah, who developed a predictive system to prevent damage to electric cables by monitoring network conditions in real-time. Finally, the “Spatial Audio-Based Blind Mobility Aid” project by Daniel Witansa Samuel, M. Favian Adinata, and Rizkar Al Akbar introduced a spatial audio-based navigation aid for the visually impaired, which provides voice cues based on the direction and distance of nearby objects, facilitating the mobility of its users.
The Unlimited x Alumni Day 2024 event successfully became a forum for interaction between students and the industrial world, and introduced relevant technological innovations in the field of electrical engineering.
