The Department of Electrical Engineering at Diponegoro University continues its Visiting Professor Batch 3 series with Chapter Series 6 on Monday, September 29, 2025. This Visiting Professor Chapter Series 6 event was held in a hybrid format in Room B203, Building B, Department of Electrical Engineering, UNDIP, as well as via Zoom Meeting. The event began at 10:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time and was open to the academic community who wanted to deepen their knowledge about the development of next-generation communication technology.
This event presented an interesting and relevant topic related to the development of future communication technology, namely “IoT Communications in 6G: Towards an Intelligent Networked Computing Environment.” The event featured Prof. Suhaidi Hassan from the School of Computing, Universiti Utara Malaysia, as the guest speaker.
In this session, Prof. Suhaidi discussed how Internet of Things (IoT)-based communications in the 6G era will open up opportunities for a smart, connected, and efficient computing environment, while also highlighting various challenges that will be faced in the future. The event was moderated by Ir. Aghus Sofwan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU., who also serves as the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Diponegoro University.
