Semarang, May 14, 2024 – The Electrical Student Association (HME) of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Diponegoro University (Undip) held another Visiting Professor event with the theme “Challenges of Variable Renewable Energy Integration in Indonesia”. This event was held online through the Zoom Meeting platform, presenting Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, ST, MT, PhD as the main speaker. Prof. Hadi Suyono is a Professor in the field of Power System Engineering and Artificial Intelligence from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Ir. Abdul Syakur, S.T., M.T., IPU.
In his presentation, Prof. Hadi Suyono explained the various challenges faced in the integration of variable renewable energy. The participants consisting of students, lecturers, and practitioners in electrical engineering enthusiastically followed the event. They had the opportunity to discuss directly with Prof. Hadi, ask questions, and share their views on innovative solutions that can be implemented to overcome these challenges.
Through this Visiting Professor event, HME Undip hopes to provide valuable insights for the participants. This event is one of a series of academic activities routinely held by HME Undip, which aims to enrich students’ knowledge and insights in the field of electrical engineering.
